提升 focuses on reducing product carbon footprint
提升 Performance Materials announced today two efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of its products. The company has made its global compounding operations carbon neutral, making it the first integrated polyamide producer to decarbonize a substantial part of its operations, 和 it has secured ISCC+ certification for the use of bio-based materials.
提升’s seven compounding sites in 北美, 欧洲 和 亚洲 produce the company’s Vydyne®, Starflam® 和 HiDura™ engineered materials used in EVs, 电池, renewable energy systems 和 countless other applications.
Carbon neutrality for the sites’ scope 1 和 2 emissions was accomplished through a mix of process improvements, 和 renewable energy 和 carbon offsets. Annually, this achievement is equivalent to eliminating the emissions from 4,000 passenger vehicles.
On the other end of the company’s fully integrated production, 提升 is now certified to use bio-based feedstocks to produce acrylonitrile, 己二腈, hexamethylene diamine 和 polyamide 66 utilizing a mass-balanced approach. With this certification, 提升’s customers would have the option to request grades with as much as 40% of bio-based material.
